Prof. Hyeongtag Jeon
Division of Materials Science and Engineering
Hanyang University, Korea
Hyeongtag Jeon is a professor in the Division of Materials Science and Engineering at Hanyang University in Korea. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Hanyang University and Ph.D. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from North Carolina State University in 1991. He started to work for Device Company in Korea and moved to Hanyang University in 1992 as an assistant professor. Since then he has been working on various fields of thin film research such as high-k gate oxide, metal film, metal nitride, metal oxide, and 2D metal sulfide. Especially he was interested in the surface reaction of thin film deposition with thermal and remote plasma atomic layer deposition. He started this ALD research in Korea in the mid of 1990 and he hosted AVS ALD 2002 in Korea and currently he is a chair of Korean ALD workshop started at 2005. In addition, he received AVS ALD innovation award in 2014 ALD meeting in Kyoto, Japan. He holds more than 60 Korean and international patents and has published more than 200 journal papers in the fields of semiconductor materials, 2D materials, flexible display passivation, and remote plasma ALD. He is currently vice president of Korean Semiconductor and Display Society and past president of MRS-Korea, committee member of AVS ALD, member of MRS, AVS, ECS and many more.
